Mini Classes are designed to give you one skill set or one small project in a 4 hour format.&
There is a quick lesson on how to cut glass then project demonstration.
You get to work creating your project within the first hour. Therefore classes start promptly at the given time. Class 1: Intro to Fusion Mini Panel 5/1 D $ 45 Class 2: How to Make a Tile 5/22 D $ 50
Build a 4X4 glass tile with
some interesting elements in it. Piece will have to anneal &
cool & be picked up at a later date. Class 3: Dichro Cab for Jewelry 6/10 E $ 55
Using Dichroic glass &
layering techniques, make a glass cabochon for a pendant or bracelet
element.
Class 4: Fence or window pocket 6/24 E $ 50
Cutting and layering create a
small window ornament. We will be using mold material to create a pocket in the glass Piece to be picked up at a later
date. Class 5: Garden lollypop 5/13 & 5/20 E first class 7/8 &7/15 E second offering $ 85
How to
create a garden lollypop & use common plumbing copper to create a frame.Two part class, creating art glass and learning how to solder Piece will be completed on second day.
Create a piece with no
set boundaries & open space to turn into a piece window
art , or an insert for stained glass . depending on complexity of piece, you may be able to take this
piece home at the end of class.
E classes are held from 6 PM- 10PM D classes are on Saturdays from 11-3 All materials are included, extra glass available, dichro scrap classes also available by pre order - black or clear. Wear cotton clothing, long pants, closed toed shoes.
Tools: Eye protection, glass cutter & sharpie. Soldering iron for Lollypop class. Tools available for purchase by prior arrangement.
